Strasbourg, the crossroads of Europe
Located between the Vosges Regional Natural Park and the Black Forest of Germany, Strasbourg is surrounded by the wine road and the Roman Road which unites the most prestigious sites in Alsace Romanesque.
Such as New York and Geneva, Strasbourg is one of the only cities in the world which welcome international institutions without being a state capital.
Plunge into a bath of Europe is also an opportunity to discover the jewels of contemporary architecture: Council of Europe, palace of Human Rights and the European Parliament. The entire downtown area, the "Big Island", is ranked since 1988 as World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO through its rich architectural heritage.
Our art gallery is located in the heart of this environment, closed to the Notre Dame cathedral which welcome each year the famous Christmas Market.
The recent opening of the Tomi Ungerer museum: the International Centre for Illustration shows us the large graphic work of Tomi Ungerer, the famous illustrator and designer born in 1931 in Strasbourg. It complements the rich culture of Strasbourg already made with many art museums: The Rohan palace (Museum of Decorative Arts, Museum of Fine Arts and Archaeological Museum), the Oeuvre-Notre-Dame museum and the museum of modern and contemporary art.
Strasbourg is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, for its history, lifestyle and food!
