Alfredo Lopez Interview Exhibition "Sunbathing" - Summer 2010

For "Sunbathing", the artist Alfredo Lopez has made a series of 11 exclusive female sunbathers life size. Each will be displayed in the galleries Carré d´artistes®. Meeting with a special artist.

The woman at the center of his work

"The woman, beyond representation, is an excellent starting point to explore our world. I take the qualities she is supposed to evoke - gentleness, compassion and sensitivity, sensuality, in order to deal with issues of less light without seeming to touch, such as business or passing time. To hear about every day of crisis of children dying of hunger, the end of the world and man, I needed to breathe, sky, sun, sea, light weight, laugh.

Technical and colorful work
"The main technique is, in this highly technological period, pencil and paper. The design remains the source of all my creations. From there, I have no preferred medium, I am one who is most appropriate . The computer is one of my favorite companion, but for other things, like a window on the world.

I always worked with the brightest colors is a bit my trademark, but independent modes and completely in tune with my tastes, the bigger the surface is smooth, the better rendering.
My work is essentially narrative. Each piece is a comic book ... a box. "
