Self-made and creative
Computer scientist by training, I always bathed in a creative climate since I was young : my father drew a lot and has inspired my brother and me. I am self-taught, and have always had a taste for color, although the drawing is to me extremely important.
I started to learn to copy, then a few years ago, pushed by my husband, I tried the bullfight poster competition. Sketches, essays, tests of color is what kept me going and finally found my own style, my personal way of expressing what I want to express.
A painting in motion
The themes that are imposed on me are: Bullfighting, rugby, dance because I´m very athletic, and I express the movement, energy and dynamism.
But for me, the theme is not important, and what interests me more is looking at the intensity of the paint (I admire those artists who paint still lifes of ordinary objects or with intensity).
I play a lot with light and matter.
Between color and light

My inspiration comes mainly from the colors that I meet, they are the ones that guide me (as I said earlier, the theme is secondary). I can be inspired by a photo, graphic, video, or even view a painting at an exhibition. In general, when a painting is often the play of color and light that inspires me, and in this case, I take those colors and works until something my own.

Energy and power
I try to give motion to the background as I work almost like an abstract painting (that´s what takes me the longest time when making a table). The movement gaves me is the basis for adding the character who comes off gradually from the bottom.
For me the most is importrant transmit some energy and strength, the intensity of the paint.
Each painting is a step towards what I want to achieve: a more abstract painting, leaner, more sober, but more intense.
I mainly use acrylics, but I went through all the techniques (watercolors, oils, pastels, charcoal etc ...) and I could come back at any time if requested by my work.
I am very curious by nature and I like testing new materials (a mixture of materials, fabrics, paper etc. ..).
Regardless of size, each table wonder between 1 and 3 hours (eventually the size does not matter because some small sizes take longer to achieve).
I work with a knife, brush, sponge, toothbrush etc. .... anything that falls into my hand can help me.

The collaboration with Carré d´artistes began November 18, 2009, Gallery of Toulouse, there is a little over a year now. Outside Carré d´artistes, I exhibit permanently at the Galerie Eric CHESNAIS to Alencon, and occasionally the gallery NOUGATINE Perigueux. |
