A painting inspired by the environment and art
My work is a collection of short stories, desires, aspirations ... my environment and everything around me inspire me. I immersed myself in both classical and modern painting, and advertising and the media.
Paintings of art contemporary that affect the public
Today, we live constantly immersed in a world of images, I found some interesting things everywhere. My job is then to isolate, to assemble and almost always give a touch of irony and humor in all this. My paintings have many readings and are interpreted differently by the public. Often I would see a smile of complicity develops between the viewer and painting.
A technique of painting, collage and adding materials

In addition, I am very interested in the technical aspect of painting. I like to start a table, distinguishing textures, materials, thicknesses. It´s more interesting for me to add collage and embroidery. Sometimes, cutting also creates wonderful and amazing things! That´s why my paintings are almost always mixed: collage, gouache, acrylic, oils, waxes ... It is exciting to bring all these techniques and to juxtapose and superimpose the "perfect" pictures with the "imperfection" of painting. |
I use both the canvas and patterned fabrics, paper or other medium that allows me risk and free.
The expected result is a first visual impact created by the color and distribution of the work, followed by an approach to enter into details in scenes and conclusions of each work. What an adventure!
Maria Burgaz and Carré d´artistes
My trip to Carré d´artistes began several years ago when I was contacted after seeing my work online. Initially the size of the works has been difficult to apprehend: I used to work in large format and the fact is that I have struggled to adapt to these measures. I often need much more time and effort to paint a picture smaller than a large one.
But the idea of being able to show my work to many people, to make my art affordable and accessible to more people convinced me. In addition, exposing several cities and changing galleries is a very rewarding experience for the artist and the public.
Today I am pleased and excited to participate in this project, to develop many ideas that in large sizes sometimes left out and that my work can be seen beyond my workshops and galleries tarditionnelles.
Exhibitions in 2011 ...
Besides the shows I currently in Miami and Cannes, several galleries in Madrid, Bilbao and Valencia represent my work. I also continue my work with Square artists, which I always suggest new projects, especially for the exhibition "What about tomorrow ...?".
