Inflluenced by contemporary

"Nothing in my environment predisposed me not to be a painter, I am from a family oriented more trips to the culture in general.

I am very sensitive to the relaxing atmosphere in everyday life, like for example the Basque coast and the Opal Coast (north) that I discovered long ago."

In one word ? Creation

"I like to build, create. Nothing pleases me more than move to invest a new space! I hang around furniture stores, decorating stores, flea markets ... During my travels, I always look for places that have a "soul".

I describe myself as constantly searching. I create all-out (drawing, painting, sculpture, photography). Of course, to keep some consistency, I do not show everything I produce, but these means of expression to help me much progress in painting. "

Between composition et figuration

"I work specifically two major areas :
- A work of composition (lines, colors and light) for oil paintings between abstraction and figuration in which the elements are fixed. (Cargo, Vials, On the Road).

Emotions guide me and I wanted to share a mood, color, history ... I draw pictures of my travels (Themes: hearts of cities / towns of words and nature, when you draw us).

- A figurative search : paintings with pencil, pen, oil on paper, paintings, photographs ... meet the sculptures of newsprint or tissue paper. I am interested in posture, movement, gesture...
I paint or body instead of body parts, mostly in motion, faces hidden or grimacing, hands in action.

My work challenges the viewer by its radical nature: the sense of the term (compared to our roots, our childhood involving emotional, nostalgia, a certain roundness) and 2nd degree. The line is simple, unpretentious, with one side sometimes disturbing due to the representation of the face.

Artist "touches everyting" Like many self-taught, I am a "jack of all trades". I like natural materials (paper, earth, wire, natural fibers ...) I experience ever in my studio. In my paintings, I use mainly oil (knife). I love its smell, its malleability, its transparency, the fact that it does not dry quickly. Pencil sharpener mine and never leave me, on vacation, during my travels, I scribbled more ! "

"It´s a small gallery of Landes, who gave me my chance. I did not dare believe in me, they proved me otherwise. In 3 weeks they have sold 25 paintings !

I am fortunate to be sustained by some permanent galleries. I open my studio by appointment only and sometimes open doors. In 2009, together with five other artists, we opened a home / studio / shop for 3 months at Le Touquet. This experiment was a success and we would like to renew it.

I present also in the contemporary art fairs (2 or 3 per year) because I like meetings, both those with the public than those with other artists.

I joined Carré d´artistes® in 2010.
I was in dedication to the gallery in Lyon last November. I was delighted to this day: many people came to meet me, made me laugh, touched me, told me a little bit of their personal history !

It´s difficult to keep feet on the ground when we receive so many compliments ... Still, the adrenaline subsided, alone in my studio, all this encouragement gave me a ferocious energy to create!
Thank you to the Lyon team for this great mark of confidence, the atmosphere throughout the day, their availability and their humor !
