Magali Borel

Magali wants to explain her point of view on her paintings. Bright colors, patterns and curves : three elements she wants to unite. She simplifies reality through the filter of memory to retain only the features. She abolishes the perspective and depth. She paints by arranging the forms with decorative manner and gives philosophical and poetic dimensions. She uses various materials. She pefers pastels. Sometimes pastel is associating with the oil painting, a technique of scraping, gluing, adding beads, braids or mortar according to the subject.

Her career : After working in fine arts from St Etienne, Magali studied psychology to become a psychologist profession. She practiced for 3 years. Today, she devotes herself to painting and exhibited for two years in the south of France.
