Paintings with relief I work with paper mache that I crush and glue on cardboard. Then, I paint with acrylic, which gives a result in volume. My job is pretty funny (I hope) and colorful. I represent small skits at the limit of absurdity. |

My characters often look surprised, they are unlikely, I do not know why it amuses me greatly. I do not think about when I create, it comes out spontaneously, it is natural for me to create.

Outside Carré d´artistes®, I work sculptures and paintings much more "searched" in old boxes. Work more disturbing, darker, but that makes me happy too! |
Cathy Mouis, inspired artist ?
My inspiration is very different. It begings with cartoons of walt disney, Miyasaki, film animation, as Svankmajer, wallace and Groomit etc. ... I am inspired by the lives of everyday people, performances of all kinds, with a preference for the puppets (Pinocchio is my idol).

The stories also have always been very important to me. Also the nature, animals, even the smallest insects that I find fascinating. The painting also (brueggel), and movie of course... the list is too long ...
